Pop Legend, Prince RIP he is gone

American singer, songwriter, multi-
instrumentalist and actor, Prince Rogers

Nelson, simply known as Prince was
found dead today at his home
near Minneapolis, USA.
Prince died at the age of 57. Prince was
hospitalized last week after his plane for
was forced to make an emergency
landing in Moline, Ill. Released a few
hours later, a rep told TMZ that he had
been battling a bad case of the flu.
His publicist confirmed the story of his
demise but no further details have been
revealed as of yet.
Prince is an indisputable icon in the
American music industry. His 1984,
Purple Rain album established him as an
icon, gaining him two Grammy
awards, an Oscar and won over Michael
Jackson’s Thriller for Favorite Pop/Rock
Album at the 1985 American Music
Awards.

Prince’s career spanned over 40 years,
39 studio albums, 4 live albums and at
least 6 compilation albums.
Prince has sold over 100 million records
worldwide, making him one of the best-
selling artists of all time. He has won
seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe,
and an Academy Award. He was
inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame in 2004, the first year of his
eligibility.
