keeping up with previously set doctrines
as the voice of the Vatican, Pope
Francis – has for the last three years
since his inauguration to the highest
position in Catholic faith – continuously
to enact change or slightly adjust them.
Among some of these doctrines include
the non-negotiable “No abortion” policy
which he gave the nod to in Catholic-
living nations following the outbreak of
Zika virus.
Zika virus causes pregnant women to
give birth to babies with abnormalities.
Pope Francis visited Colombia this year
and gave the nod for abortion to be
committed on Catholic women who
wanted it rather than giving birth to
deformed babies.
The unshakable foundation of “no
abortion, no matter what” sent shivers
among the Catholic faith.
Pope Francis hasn’t only been called
“liberal”, he has also been called “anti-
conservative” as he sends a truckload of
waves – if they can be meaured in
trucks – again.
by giving crumbs of freedom to local
priests to make decisions based on how
it would benefit the Catholicians in that
locality in his new Catholic writings.
For the past two years Pope Francis has
been writing a major document titled
“Amoris Laetitia ” Latin for “The Joy of
Love” as it focuses more on family
values.
An apostolic exhortation, these document
is extremely important in the Pope’s role
as the leader of the Roman Catholic
Church.
The document urges “church leaders to
serve as nurturing pastors, not as rigid
enforcers of doctrine”.
Controversial subjects such as if
“divorced Catholics who remarry without
having obtained annulments can receive
holy communion” and “Debates over same-
sex relationships” were also discussed.
