Lesbian couple wins a payout check for kissing

Police have agreed to pay out £55,000 to alesbian couple who were arrested after theywere seen kissing in public.

Courtney Wilson and Taylor Guerrero were in a
Hawaii store last year when they say Ms
Wilson was grabbed by a police officer who
objected to their public displays of affection.
Details of the settlement, which is still subject
to city council approval, were announced in
federal court in Honolulu.
The women were walking through the aisles of
Foodland, in Oahu's North Shore, holding
hands and at one point hugged and kissed.
The court heard that officer Bobby Harrison,
was shopping in uniform when he spotted the
pair and, "in a loud voice, ordered the plaintiffs
to stop and 'take it somewhere else'."
The women said they complied and continued
shopping, but when Harrison again saw them
being affectionate again, he threatened to
have them thrown out of the store.
