UK weather: Toxic Sahara dust cloud hits Britain as Met Office warn of high pollution levels

A toxic cloud of dirty air from the continent is
hitting the UK today,
potentially ruining a
weekend of beautiful weather for Brits.
The toxic cloud of dust from the Saharan
desert reached Britain this morning as the UK
enjoyed its hottest weather of the year so far.
London is set to enjoy 26C tomorrow - making
it hotter than the Costa Del Sol or Ibiza.
Manchester has been hit by the pollution alert,
alongside much of the Midlands and the
South.
Experts say that such conditions can cause
health problems for hay fever sufferers and
those with lung problems.

Saturday
Large areas of Moderate air pollution are
expected but some pockets of locally High air
pollution levels are possible on Saturday.
Sunday
Widespread Moderate air pollution is expected
but High levels of air pollution are again locally
possible on Sunday.
