Ex-soldier Wajid Fazil was named as victim of motorbike crash

A former Muslim soldier and guard at
Buckingham Palace tragically died in a
horror crash on Boxing Day after he collided with a barrier while riding his new motorbike.
Dad-of-one Wajid Fazil crashed into a railing at a shopping centre in Birmingham at around midday on Monday.
The 39-year-old, from Castle Bromwich, was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

Wajid had been a former Welsh Guard who served in Kosovo and Bosnia. He left the army around 10 years ago after distinguished service- including Guard Duties at Buckingham Palace.
Tributes have poured in for Wajid - also known as Ray - who has been described as: “An amazing husband, a lovely father, a honourable brother and a role model son.”
