Greg Clarke has urged footballers to all come out together

A big group of football stars should come out as gay on the same day, the boss of the FA has suggested.

Greg Clarke said they should choose the first day of next season to make their move –breaking one of the last taboos in sport.
Not one current British footie pro has come out, but campaigner Peter Tatchell estimates there could be 500 gay players.
Mr Clarke said he had spoken to 15 gay
sportspeople recently – including footballers –to ask their advice.
He said: “I put the message out there that if a number of top-level pros want to come out,why don’t we synchronise it?
