The BBC chef found himself at St. Mary's in London on the most festive of all days this year.
John's girlfriend, Lisa Faulkner, broke the news to fans on social media,revealing that he had been taken unwell.
Alongside a picture of her partner in a hospital bed, she wrote: “Thank you so very much to the lovely docs and nurses yesterday.
#stmaryshospitalpaddington for looking after my @johntorodecooks who is very bruised but doing well!”
