Waves break over a coastal road in Skelmorli Scotland

Storm Conor delivered snow to Scotland while the rest of Britain enjoyed one of
the mildest Christmas Day ’s on record.
Wintry showers and rain hit the far North but mild air pulled behind this storm led to an unseasonably warm day for those in the South.
The highest temperature recorded in England was 15.0C in Hull - close to the record of 15.6C registered in Devon in 1920.

A total of 11 weather warnings have been issued for high winds and snow tomorrow with gusts of 90mph to hit parts of Northern Scotland.
Alerts are also in place for the north west and north east of England,Yorkshire and Humber
where winds of 50-60 mph are forecast.
