A Wetherspoon customer was served up a plate of food that had already been given to someone else and was half-eaten.
Stephanie Archer was with a friend at
Billingham's Half Moon Inn, in County Durham, when she was served up a ham and cheese panini and chips - some of which had already been eaten.
Her dish had been given to the wrong customer but instead of remaking it, the 33-year-old claims she was just given the same plate -after a man already eaten some of the chips and added ketchup.
A Wetherspoon spokesman has since
apologised and said that “a number of factors, out of the manager’s control, led to the incident.”
He also blamed Stephanie for 'causing more problems' for staff by posting on social media about her disgust.
The spokesman admitted some of the chips had been eaten, but the panini had not been bitten into.
